Earth Care July 2021 Newsletter Hello Friend! We at Earth Care have been busy this summer with our youth intern program and community development work. This week we have some great events in the community, including DACA renewal clinics every Friday! Check them out below. En Earth Care hemos estado ocupados este verano con nuestro programa de pasantes para jóvenes y el trabajo de desarrollo comunitario. Esta semana tenemos grandes eventos en la comunidad incluyendo unas clinicas de renovación de DACA cada vierne, échales un vistazo.

COMMUNITY SWAP
SATURDAY JULY 31, 1-4 PM Santa Fe Mutual Aid will be having a community swap meet from 1PM until 4PM. The building next to the Southside Library. Bring what you want to get rid of and take what you need! We accept gently used clothes, canned goods, plants, furniture, and more! Everything will be for free! We will have a raffle, a DJ, some snacks and fun activities for the kids! This one is a back to school focus swap! Bring some gently used backpacks and some school supplies if you can! Check it out @ our offices at Zona Del Sol- 6600 Valentine Way, Building A, Santa Fe, NM 87507. (across from the southside library - enter from Valentine Way).
SÁBADO 31 de JULIO | 1-4 pm La red de ayuda mutualista los quiere invitar al dia de intercambio. Traiga lo que vaya a regalar y llevese lo que necesite. Puede ser ropa que ya no quiere, latas de comida, plantas, muevles y mucho mas. Todo va ser gratis. Tambien vamos a tener una rifa, snacks, recursos y actividades para los niños. Va ser el 31 de julio entre la 1PM hasta las 4PM. Este intercambio va ser uno para regreso escular. Si tiene mochilas viejas y utiles que quiere regalar, vengan con esas cosas. Youth Summit 2021 Shaping Our Future 7/27/2021
TUES, JULY 27 @ 8:00AM-3 PM Youth Summit 2021 hosted by Rep Tara Lujan, Lt. Governor Howie Morales, & Senator Ben R. Lujan YUCCA & Earth Care will be tabling at the youth summit. YUCCA will also be on the 3rd panel on Climate Justice! Check it out & share with your high school students! See you on Tuesday at Capital High School.

Lujan YUCCA & Earth Care se presentará en la cumbre juvenil. ¡YUCCA también estará en el tercer panel sobre Justicia Climática! ¡Compruébalo y compártelo con tus estudiantes de secundaria!
YUCCA is hosting open youth meetings every other Tuesday from 8-9 pm. Join them this Tuesday to meet other youth & discuss the topic of New Mexico's drought & important issues affecting our water supply including the climate crisis. Please RSVP by signing up here & they will send you the zoom link!
El Puente Summer Internship Program
We are rocking and rolling with our summer internship program with local youth engaged on local planning issues and solutions from the Southside Teen Center to transportation issues on the Southside. They have worked on the survey below, click the link to complete the survey.
