As we begin to close out the year, we've been reflecting on everything we've fought for together, the victories we've won, the community that made it all possible, and the work that comes next.

That's why we're reaching out to share two important invitations – opportunities to gather to celebrate all that we've accomplished together, get organized for the fights ahead, and continue building power for the movement as we enter the new year.

#WEGOTUS CAMPAIGN KICKOFF: JOIN US TO GET INVOLVED

MONDAY, DECEMBER 8TH!

We're facing compounding crises that are threatening our futures – from climate collapse to skyrocketing costs of living and rising authoritarianism. It's time for us to come together across generations, movements, and struggles to meet the moment, protect our communities, and show that a different world is already being built.

Over the past few weeks, YUCCA has been busy gearing up for our We Got Us – a campaign to train our community in direct action, strengthen networks of mutual aid and community care, and build political pressure for meaningful, bold environmental and social protections and investments.

We're already looking forward to January, where we'll come together in the new year for a weekend of statewide skill-building trainings in Santa Fe and a powerful mass mobilization at the State Capitol on the Opening Day of the 2026 Legislative Session.But right now, you have the chance to help us kick off the campaign during our virtual #WeGotUs Community Meeting on Monday, December 8th at 5:30 pm MT.

During the community meeting, we'll launch our organizing for the upcoming We Got Us Training and Mass Mobilization, share opportunities to help bring our community together for an impactful weekend of action in January, and outline important information about the threats we're facing in the energy sector, including urgent calls to action and ways that you can get plugged into the fight before the year ends.

As the weather grows colder and the holiday season begins, we've been reflecting on all that we've done together this year, from a powerful mobilization on the Opening Day of the Legislative Session last January, to bringing the truth from our communities to the doorstep of the corporations trying to buy our futures, to fighting back against the reuse of toxic fracking waste in the Water Quality Control Commission, and so much more. And now, we're excited to celebrate the powerful community that made this work possible. You're invited to join YUCCA and the rest of the Earth Care team for a Winter Celebration on December 13th from 4:00-7:00 pm at Camino Real Academy (2500 South Meadows Rd. Santa Fe, NM 87507), where we'll come together with to enjoy food and games, reflect on all that we've won and accomplished this year, and continue building community together.
