On Monday, January 22nd, the No False Solutions Coalition held a demonstration outside the roundhouse opposing Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham's proposed strategic water supply plan. A plan that aims to use toxic waste, produced water for specific industrial processes including hydrogen development. The same day our partner organization New Energy Economy which forms part of the No False Solutions Coalition released a report exposing Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham's proposal. The report shows how the governor is making decisions to benefit the oil and gas industry while she continues to present herself as a "Climate Champion." The governor is seeking legislative approval to allocate $500 million over two years for the strategic water supply. |
