TODAY: Important Announcement At 11am, Fire Relief, & An Educational Discussion

It’s a big day—and we’d love to have you be a part of it.

With just a little of your time and a few dollars from your wallet, you can make a real impact. Today, we’re inviting you to take action on three urgent fronts: to join our youth and frontline communities for an important announcement about our court case, to join the fight against carbon capture scams, and to deliver critical relief to Diné families impacted by the Oak Ridge Fire—one of several fires burning across New Mexico this week.

As extreme heat and wildfire smoke blanket our state, we are reminded: the climate crisis is not a future threat—it is here now. From Ruidoso to the Navajo Nation, families are evacuating, elders are sheltering in place, and the air is toxic. And all while fossil fuel executives and their political allies push carbon capture, hydrogen, and “produced water” instead of moving forward the real climate actions and community resilience solutions we need.

It's critical that we continue to demand better and do everything we can to protect one another. Please join us today for important actions and contribute what you can!

TODAY'S ONLINE EVENTS: 11:00 AM AND 2:30 PM

This morning, youth plaintiffs from across New Mexico will respond to the dismissal of their climate rights lawsuit, Atencio et al. v. State of New Mexico.

We sued because the state is violating our constitutional rights by permitting unchecked fossil fuel extraction that threatens our health, futures, and sacred homelands. The Appellate Court tried to silence us. We’re not backing down.

🕚 11:00AM MST 🎤 Hear from our youth, the legal team, and fellow movement leaders about what’s next. Our fight is about more than a court ruling—it’s about whether future generations will have air to breathe, water to drink, and land to come home to.

Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) is being pushed hard by the fossil fuel industry as the solution to climate change—while they continue drilling, polluting, and harming frontline communities. We know better.

💣 CCS is a scam meant to protect profits—not people or the planet.

Join us this evening to dig into the latest developments on CCS in New Mexico, hear what’s being proposed behind closed doors, and help plan our resistance.

🕕 2:30PM MST

Together, we’re building the power to stop false solutions—and demand real ones that come from the people.

FIRE RELIEF FOR DINÉ COMMUNITIES

Wildfires continue to rage in NM and AZ—forcing evacuations and filling homes with smoke. In Diné communities like Oak Springs, Hunters Point, St. Michaels, and Window Rock, our relatives are breathing in air filled with harmful particulates—and local hardware stores are out of the filters needed to protect families indoors.

Our partners at Nihi K’é Bá, a trusted, Diné-led mutual aid group and a fiscally sponsored project of Earth Care, are on the ground right now delivering DIY air purifiers (Corsi-Rosenthal boxes) to elders and households. But they need our support to keep going.
