We're Taking Action on January 20th: Join Us In The Streets For The We Got Us Mass Mobilization

As we close out the year and step into the fights ahead in 2026, we know that we're up against growing attacks on our communities and crises we didn't create.

That's why on January 20th, thousands of New Mexicans will take to the streets in Santa Fe for the We Got Us Mass Mobilization - on the Opening Day of the Legislative Session.

We're calling on you – young people, community members, organizers, and movement allies across New Mexico – to join YUCCA and 18+ partner organizations in Santa Fe for a march, rally, and mutual aid fair to show decision-makers what it looks like when we all stand together and put forward a visionary platform for the future.Together, we'll demand bold action on the climate crisis, investments in the resources our communities need, livable wages and futures for all of us, an end to the systems of criminalization that target our families, justice for our migrant communities, and collective liberation that makes freedom possible for all of us – from Palestine to New Mexico.

Our generation has lived through wildfires and droughts, rising fascism, the impacts of decades of disinvestment, a pandemic that exposed the inequities this system was built on, wages that haven't kept up with costs of living, and coordinated attacks on our communities. But we've also risen up again and again: from walkouts and global climate strikes to encampments for Palestinian liberation, marches against police brutality and state violence, and countless fights to stop harmful policies that put profits over our lives.

We know what is possible when we organize together across movements, cities, and generations – and when we work together to build something different.

When we come together to demand more than this system has offered us, our power becomes impossible to ignore. In past years, we've mobilized on Opening Day to demand meaningful climate action. And in 2026, we're uniting across movements to building something that's bigger than one rally, one march, one Legislative Session, or one Presidential term.

This Mass Mobilization isn't about any one organization or movement. It's about the young people whose futures are on the line, the elders who have carried these fights for generations, and the communities who have been excluded from the decisions that shape our lives – and the power we're building together. This moment demands action that goes far beyond incremental change. Whether this is your first protest or your fiftieth, we need you with us in this fight. Join us at the Santa Fe Plaza on January 20th at 10:30 am as we march, rally, and mobilize for a future rooted in justice, community care, and collective liberation for all of us.
