WEBINAR SERIES - CATCH THE ONES YOU MISSED!

We teamed up with Walk the Talk Santa Fe to organize educational panels for our community (YOU!). Given the recent resurgence and uprising shedding light on rampant police violence terrorizing Black & African people in the United States and the resulting uprisings across the nation, we wanted to provide resources & education about these topics. That's why we created these webinars. As calls to defund the police & redistribute critical $ resources have been issued, we hope these webinars help answer some questions you may have. Scroll down to see what videos are available for you to view.

Webinar #1 talks about police reform, police violence on Black, Indigenous and other communities of color in the US.  Webinar #2 with Selinda Guerrero provides a basic understanding of what abolition is calling for as well as the history of the origin of police being rooted in systemic racism, slavery, and land dispossession. As well as what mass incarceration has done to communities. Webinar #3 continues the conversation on abolition and alternatives to oppressive institutions. Webinar #4 brings education and youth workers together to talk about how children get funneled into the criminal legal system and how we can use & implement restorative and transformative justice.

As we approach the election, let's be clear that voter suppression & disenfranchisement  is connected to these issues. They are deliberate and intentional.

Thank you for being in conversation & learning with us!!
